YMCA of Singapore congratulates Mr
Chew Kwee San, Vice-President, YMCA of Singapore, for having been successfully re-elected
to the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) Board of Council for the term 2014-16 on 22 July 2014.
Mr Chew was first elected to the NCSS Board for the term 2012 – 2014 in July 2012. During this period, he served on NCSS committees including ComChest, Services and Audit. He is currently Vice Chairman of ComChest.

Mr Chew brings with him a wealth of experience from both the corporate and social service sectors. Mr Chew is Executive Director of The Tecity Group of companies, and Honorary Secretary and Council Member of both the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation in Singapore and Tan Sri Tan Foundation in Malaysia.
Mr Chew has been the Vice-President of YMCA of Singapore since May 2013 and was Treasurer from May 2009 to May 2013. He is also a Council Member of the National Council of YMCAs of Singapore.
Mr Chew has been chairing the YMCA Investment Committee and Tender Committee since 2013, and was Chairman of the YMCA Programmes and Community Services Committee from October 2008 to May 2013. He had also served in the committees for International Programmes, Nominations and the Financial Assistance & Capability For Employment Scheme. Since 2002, he has contributed to the Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes youth development programme as a committee member, awards panellist and mentor for the participants.
Other than his active volunteering in YMCA of Singapore, Mr Chew also served as Captain of the 12th Barker Road, 12th Barker Road (Junior) and ACJC Boys’ Brigade Company from 2006 to 2012. He was also a mentor and youth group leader in his church from 2004 to 2012.
