YMCA Partners-in-Service Luncheon 2014

YMCA of Singapore hosted some 40 representatives from 25 partnering organisations from the disability, children and youth and elderly sectors at the YMCA Partners-In-Service Luncheon 2014 from 16-18 July 2014.

At the event, Mr Lo Chee Wen, General Secretary, YMCA of Singapore, was introduced to the partners. Eight organisations, which have partnered with YMCA for at least 5 years since 2004, were presented with plaques in recognition of the sustained partnership.

It was an informative and enriching session whereby feedback and suggestions were gathered to provide better synergy with the partners as we serve the community together. Most of the invited organisations partner with YMCA through the YMCA-Tan Chin Tuan Community Service Programmes.

YMCA-Tan Chin Tuan Community Service Programmes aim to bring cheer to the intellectually and physically challenged, underprivileged children, the hearing impaired, the elderly and the poor through 16 structured and sustained programmes. In 2013, YMCA of Singapore served more than 4,200 local beneficiaries from 32 partnering organisations and mobilised some 5,800 volunteers who committed over 75,000 volunteering hours across 569 activities over the course of the year.

YMCA of Singapore looks forward to continued support by our partners, volunteers and VWOs through active participation in our 16 YMCA-Tan Chin Tuan Community Service Programmes.
