YMCA of Singapore extends its heartiest
congratulations to Joyce Yu, Manager, International Programmes on being
presented with the “Dedicated staff leader” award from the hands of
Guest-of-Honour Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education &
Skills) & Second Minister for Defence at the launch of “Many Lenses, One
YEP” Exhibition.
Organised by Youth Corps Singapore, the event
took place on 16 July 2017 at the National Museum of Singapore. Ms Tan Shu
Ling, ex-ISP staff was also presented with the same award.
Four YMCA volunteer leaders Teo Ming Ern, Ronnie
Quek, Kong Chak Mun and Tan Pei Jun took home the “Dedicated volunteer leader”
award for making significant impacts through their leadership and service contributions.
Another volunteer leader, Eddy Han, took the 5th prize of
20 most inspiring and heart-warming stories through visual storytelling. His photos were displayed at the exhibition, which showcased the
meaningful experiences of participants from the Youth Expedition Project (YEP)
through photo-essays. The exhibition creates a space for youths to share their
memorable encounters and the spirit behind why they serve. Hopefully, many
others will be inspired to embark on their own journey of service to the
community too.
Congratulations to all once again on your amazing work and inspirational stories!
