YMCA of Singapore awarded Charity Transparency Award 2017


We are pleased to share that YMCA of Singapore was awarded the Charity Transparency Award 2017 (CTA) for the large charities category.

Organised over two days from 9 to 10 November 2017 at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, the YMCA Silver Fiesta 2017 saw over 1,500 elderly folks from 34 Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) and the public come together for two days of fun.

From generation to generation


She was only six years old when her brother participated in the YMCA Plain English Speaking Awards (PESA) three years ago. But watching him practice so many times enabled her to deliver the same speech just as well but with her personal anecdotes. Public speaking came as a natural progression for Yvonne Swee-Neo Inglin, who is the first runner-up for the Lower Primary Category at YMCA PESA 2017.

Taking a trip down memory lane


On Saturday 22 July, volunteers from 10 corporations, organisations and schools met with over 160 beneficiaries from 10 Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) to enjoy a concert and carnival at the Asian Civilisations Museum. Organised by YMCA of Singapore, YMCA Proms @ the Park 2017 attracted about 600 people to the event, including members of public. Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for National Security, Mr Teo Chee Hean, was the guest of honour at the event.
